摘要
The purpose of this study was to determine the predictive ability of admission requirements on academic performance of the CPUDHS freshmen in 1999-2001. Admission requirements include: Grade VI Final Grade in English, Mathematics, Science and General Average, SCAT- English and Mathematics, and Reading Comprehension. Results showed that Grade VI General Average and Reading Comprehension are the best predictors of First Year Weighted Average. Grade VI General Average and SCAT- Mathematics are the best predictors of First Year Final Grade in Mathematics. Nonsignificant predictors of First Year Final Grade in English were Grade VI Final Grade in Mathematics and Science, while SCAT-English and Grade VI Final Grade in English and Science did not significantly predict First Year Final Grade in Science.
