Abstract
This study documented and assessed Barangay Tigum, Buruanga, Aklan in terms of its location and accessibility, attractions/activities, safety and security, and the services provided, as well as the respondent's age and sex profile. Researchers employed a self made questionnaire as the data collection instrument. This descriptive study used a Quantitative-Research Design. The respondents were chosen through the use of the accidental sampling method. Based on the findings, 100% of the respondents perceived that Barangay Tigum, Buruanga has the potential to become a tourism destination and attracts visitors in terms of location and accessibility, attractions/activities, accommodation, safety, security, and services on the assessment and documentation of attractions such as caves, falls, beach and mountain. Furthermore, the presence of agriculture in the said location would help boost the living industry. As reflected in the study, there is no significant difference as regards documenting and assessing Brgy. Tigum, Buruanga, being a potential tourist attraction in terms of accessibility, attraction, activities, accommodation, safety and security, service, and demographic profile of the residents. Based on the respondents’ perception, Brgy Tigum could be a potential tourist destination.
