Descriptive analysis was employed and utilized the one-shot survey design. The 91 actual occupants of the houses in the village were all interviewed when the study was conducted last December 2005. Result of the study shows that most of the respondents are occupying single detached units. More than 80% of the houses have a floor area of less than 50 square meters and the average floor area of the houses in the village is 43.7 square meters. Lot area of half of the homeowners is only 92 square meters. It is estimated that the total volume of waste generated in the village is 315.54 large grocery bags (6.31 cu m) per week. On the average, the total volume of waste generated per household is about 6.42 grocery bags (0.13 cu m) per week. The most common solid waste handling and disposal practiced by the homeowners is by throwing wastes in a receptacle to be collected later. A private person is responsible for collecting the solid wastes from the village. Garbage collection is only done once a week. Amount paid to garbage collector ranged from P5.00 to P20.00 per household pre week or average garbage collection fee of P8.04 per week.
