The mediating roles of supply chain coordination and optimization on management practices and enterprise efficiency in the catering industry
Аннотации
This study examined the mediating role of supply chain coordination and optimization on management practices and enterprise efficiency in the catering industry in Guangzhou, Guangdong Province, China. A one-shot survey was conducted among 400 supply chain managers from randomly selected catering enterprises. Results of the study reveal that enterprise efficiency is positively influenced by management practices particularly in three key areas: cost, quality, and operational efficiency. Moreover, results also indicate that supply chain optimization, particularly in information technology application and procurement management, plays a significant role in enhancing enterprise efficiency. Furthermore, the supply chain coordination-through process, data, and benefit coordination—further contributes to improved enterprise outcomes. These results highlight the interconnected nature of supply chain optimization and coordination, showing that, individually or together, they mediate in the relationship between management practices and enterprise efficiency. These findings offer valuable guidance for catering enterprises navigating the digital transformation of their supply chains, particularly within the evolving landscape of China's digital economy.
