摘要
The main purpose of this study was to develop a module for teaching language literacy in Kinder 1 in public and private schools. This study utilized the Input-Output-Process model which employed Focus Group Discussion among eight kindergarten teachers. There were eight kindergarten teachers who participated in the Focus Group Discussion, and there were two expert teachers who evaluated and validated the interview guide and the content of the developed module. Data were analyzed through thematic analysis which generated thirteen themes about the activities, materials, and teaching methods used in teaching Language and Literacy. These include hands-on activities, manipulative and instructional materials, Socratic Method. Phonic sounds were used in the module of Language and Literacy in Kindergarten 1. There are three segments in the developed module: nursery rhymes, nursery songs, and story books. The distinctive feature of this module is that the researchers included interactive activities called “joy activities," thus it is not merely a paper-and-pencil method. Based on the assessment of two expert teachers, the module in Language Literacy in Kindergarten 1 was accepted and suitable for the learners in terms of activities, instructions, contents, and organization.
