Аннотации
Staphylococcus epidermidis is linked to bumblefoot, respiratory tract infections, eggshell contamination, and septicemia, resulting in substantial economic losses to the poultry industry. To subdue these adverse effects, A laboratory-based experimental study was conducted to determine the antimicrobial potential of guava leaves essential oil against Staphylococcus epidermidis. This study (1) determine the minimum inhibitory concentration (2) asses the zone of inhibition and (3) determine the potency of guava leaves essential oil. This study utilized A single-factor and two-factor fully randomized design (CRD). It involved 5 milliliter of Guava leaves essential oil, 30 petri plates,100pl S. epidermidis bacteria, 750pl tylosin, 500pl VCO , and 500pl of distilled water. The concentrations were laid out using a complete block design (CRD). The study succeed to demonstrate significant antimicrobial activity of guava leaves essential oil against Staphylococcus epidermidis. Inhibition zones were observed around the wells containing essential oil, indicating that the oil exert significant inhibitory effects on the growth of the bacteria. The findings of the study reveal that GEO has sufficient antibacterial efficacy against S. epidermidis. Thus, this study reveals that guava leaves essential oil possess significant antimicrobial activity against Staphylococcus epidermidis under the test conditions and concentrations employed.
