Abstract
This study was conducted to determine the level of acceptability of Kamias (Averrhoa bilimbi L.) Cookies in terms of appearance, aroma, texture, flavor, and overall acceptability when the respondents were classified according to sex and age. A questionnaire created by the researchers was developed and used to collect data in a one-shot survey using a quantitative method. To analyze the information and respond to the problem statement of the study, SPPS was used. The experimental research design was used in this study through accidental random sampling among the church members of Isaiah6ty0ne Community as respondents (El 98 St.) Jaro, Iloilo City, where the study was conducted. Of the 50 respondents, 24 of them were females and 26 were males. As to age, 17 of them were younger, 23 belonged to the middle age group, while 10 were old. Results showed that the level of acceptability of Kamias (Averrhoa bilimbi L.) cookies was highly accepted by the respondents, when grouped by sex and age. In terms of age and sex, there was no significant difference in the quality attributes of the product among the male and female and the age difference of young, middle-aged, and old. In terms of the overall acceptability, Kamias (Averrhoa bilimbi L.) was strongly accepted by the respondents.
