dc.description.abstract | This study was conducted by the Social Science Research Institute (SSRI), Central Philippine University, in collaboration with the Women’s Resource Center (WRC), between 1995 and 1997 in order to determine the association between family planning use and various aspects of the lives of married women of reproductive age (MWRA) of Western Visayas. More specifically, the study aimed to: 1. describe the association of family planning practice with selected economic characteristics of the women, such as their work status, type of work they were engaged in and gainful work participation between pregnancies; 2. describe the association between family planning use and selected social characteristics of women, such as education and training, and participation in social organizations and community activities; 3.describe the association between family planning use and selected psychological characteristics of women, such as satisfaction with life, perceived self esteem and Decision-making participation; 4. describe women’s and men's perceptions about how family planning has improved women's lives with respect to selected characteristics of family planning experience and use; and 5. describe the incidence of domestic violence among the women and certain factors associated with their experience with violence | en_US |
