Abstract
This illumination design for commercial building includes a background of the several types of lamps available. The history, visual per, glare and visual comfort, annoying flicker and the color ofthe lamps are discussed. In the required design design considerations, the typical fluorescent fixtures were explained. This design also presents economic analysis for the design process were also covered.
There are tables for standard base, mogul base, fluorescent lamp data, copper conductor ampacity and insulation material presented in order to guide the designer. Cost calculation for Philips, America Optima, Focus and General Electric lamps are made including the cost of wire and circuit breakers.
