dc.description.abstract | This is a quantitative research which aimed to determine the level of TLC and the factors associated with it among the Catholic secondary schools in Iloilo City. It utilized self-administered survey instruments for teachers and librarians. The study found that in general, there was a high level of awareness of library resources and services among the teacher respondents. However, the teachers have used library resources and services at a moderate level only. There were resources and services unfamiliar to the majority of the teachers, hence there was a low level of utilization. Moreover, it was found that the majority of the teachers had visited the library less frequently or at least twice a week to borrow or return library resources, and to read available materials for their class. Both teachers and librarians showed a positive attitude towards each other's job performance. It was found that the type of school where the teachers are working influenced their attitude towards the librarians. On the other hand, the respondents have shown a low level of collaboration towards each other. In general, the level of TLC among the respondents is at Coordination and Cooperation Levels. Teachers' specialization, level of awareness of library resources and services, and attitude towards librarians were found to affect their TLC. A library instruction program was proposed based on the findings of the study. | en_US |
