Abstract
This research employed a developmental research methodology and aimed to develop a teaching guide in Sepak Takraw to support the resources of Physical Education Teachers in teaching Sepak Takraw more effectively. The study was conducted from October 2023 to August 2024 and focused on identifying the key instructional needs based on the current skill levels among teachers in a private university. The study found that teachers demonstrated an intermediate level of knowledge with a significant gap at the advanced level of teaching. This showed that there was a need for a teaching guide that covered the essential topics including basic skills, history, rules, drills, etc. These results guided the development of the teaching guide, ensuring it would address both basic and intermediate levels to support teachers in delivering well-rounded instruction. The study concludes that there is a need to develop the teaching guide in Sepak Takraw to bridge the knowledge gaps, improve the instructional quality, and have deeper engagement with Sepak Takraw. By providing clear guidelines and structured content, this guide can help teachers build skills and competence in their teaching approach.
