Abstract
Transport terminals are essential facilities in ensuring the convenience and effectiveness of the public transport network layout. This project study proposes an integrated transport terminal at Zone 5 Poblacion, Santa Barbara, Iloilo to address the problem of lack of a proper transportation facility in the municipality. The proposed plan includes a three-storey building composed of the terminal for the jeepneys and tricycles on the first floor, commercial spaces on the second floor, and a parking space for private vehicles on the third floor. An eco-friendly design utilizing green building technology such as vertical shadings, a rainwater harvesting system, and the use of natural lighting was incorporated. Architectural, structural, electrical and plumbing plans in accordance with the existing codes and regulations are also included in the study. For the structural and architectural design, the National Structural Code of the Philippines (NSCP), Ultimate Stress Design (USD) for reinforced concrete members and Allowable Strength Design (ASD) for steel served as the basis. The project has a duration of 330 calendar days with an estimated cost of P57, 506, 012.11, which shall be funded by the Local Government Unit of Santa Barbara, Iloilo.
