Résumé
A fire station that adheres to standard requirements ensures the efficient operation of fire protection services by providing well-designed facilities for rapid response, and public safety. However, the existing fire station is plagued by inadequate facilities, no apparatus bay, and an unsuitable site, which hinders operational efficiency and does not meet current structural, safety, and sustainability standards. This project study focuses on the proposed construction of a 175 sq. m three-storey fire station in Alimodian, designed to accommodate the firefighters and the required facilities ultimately aiding them in times of emergency. Its features include spacious fire truck bays for quick deployment, administrative offices for seamless coordination, living quarters that ensure readiness, and training rooms to prepare firefighters for the unexpected. By incorporating modern green building technologies, architectural design and adequate facilities, this project aims to create a sustainable and supportive environment for our heroes. Moreover, the structure was designed using the provisions of the Ultimate Strength Design (USD) method and the National Structural Building Code of the Philippines (NSCP) 2015. The estimated cost is Php 18.379,624.87 which will be funded by the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) with an estimated completion of 240 days. It is recommended that it shall be implemented as soon as possible, checked further against the appropriate design, conduct their own geotechnical investigation, and once the structure is completely operational, safety and security devices such as fences, CCTVs, and other appropriate security measures should be installed.
