A consistent fighter for the welfare of the downtrodden and the exploited, the new head of the regional office of the Ministry of Labor and Employment (MOLE) is a rebel with a clause.

Atty. Henry M. Parel, 38, rose from being a street parliamentarian fighting for justice and freedom to become Regional Director of MOLE, Region 6, under President Corazon C. Aquino's administration.

He graduated valedictorian from Arellano University Elementary School and Central Philippine University High School. In 1971, he graduated Summa Cum Laude at CPU with a degree of Bachelor of Science in Commerce, where he was also President of the CPU Student Republic.
