摘要
This survey research design study aimed to determine Parents’ Attitude and Extent of Participation in the Learning Activities of their Children in a Private School. Parents’ characteristics and attitude are associated with their extent of participation in the learning activities of their children. All parents from grades one to six were included in this study. Chi-square test and Pearson’s Product Correlation with .05 level of significance were used to determine if there are relationships among the variables of the study. Findings revealed that parents in this school had highly favorable attitude and high extent of participation in the learning activities of their children. A significant relationship was found between parents’ sex, educational attainment, and income and attitude towards participation. Also a significant relationship between parents’ sex, educational attainment, occupation, and income and extent of participation in the learning activities of their children. Difficulty in assisting lessons due to low attention span, effortful in obeying household chores, and use of gadgets as barrier of learning activities, emerged as experiences of the parents in the learning activities at home.
