摘要
The development of College of Computer Studies Guidance Information System is purposely created to aid the guidance office in their manual work. The system requires a network connection to the university database where the needed data will be passed.

The front end used is Microsoft Visual Studio C# and SQL Server Management Studio 2008 for the back end. The systems adopts the log in security where both user and admin uses a username and password to access the system.

The system also adapts the theory data archiving in retrieving profile of graduate students or in active students. With data archiving, students profile will be stored with less space than the original and when the archived profile will be needed, it will be retrieved back to its original size. With this, the Guidance Office will have lot more space for incoming students and no need for disposal.

The study followed The Modified Waterfall Model in construction because of its flexible nature. It has a lot more flexibility to correct mistakes and make small changes, leading to less re-work later on in the project. Another advantage is that there is usually less paper work burdening the members of the project team as the documentation is more in line with the fluid nature of the project.
