Web-based management system for Resona Catering Services and Event Planning

Abstract

The development of a Web-based Management System for Resona Catering and Event Planning is created to aid the owner and the customers in managing and placing orders. Through the use of this system, the owner can track reservations and bookings, inquiries and payments of the customers. The owner can also use the system to promote new packages, menus and promos. The system allows the owner to track its utilities, manpower and inventory.

Through this system, customers can enjoy a hassle free and paper-less way of booking their events. Customers can order, reserve, pick a package or create a new one via the use of internet.

With this, the researchers made sure that the reports are delivered in a fast and secured manner and will be assessed and processed by Resona’s Catering Services. The system is a web based application connected to a secure database repository which was developed with the use of PHP programming language as its back-end and HTML and CSS for the front-end.

The study followed the Extreme Programming method to iteratively develop and enhance the development of the system. The researchers built and improved the system step by step through the rigorous validation, verification and testing of each version.
