Résumé
The study presents a LAN based tutorial software which will help not just the students, but also the teachers of Belison National School is facilitating the learning process of students, specifically in astronomy or science subject. The study aimed to develop an interactive astronomy tutorial software for high school students in science subject. With the assistance of the software, students interest will be enhanced in the subject matter which would raise their curiosity and be eager to learn. Specifically, the study aimed to enrich the students’ attention span in the classroom for better learning. It will provide a performance evaluation sheet for the students and teachers to be monitor the progress of the class using this new system.
The teacher that teaches astronomy must first register in the system in order for him/her to enroll the students that are under his/her subject. After that, the teacher will guide the students in logging-in in the system and can start their class discussion. Then after the discussion, the teacher can give the students a quiz. For the major exam, the teacher can activate it in the system with a time allotted for the students to take. It is a randomized examination to avoid cheating with the seatmate and for the student to strive to study. After taking the exam, the student will submit it for them to view the score and the percentage they got.
Finally, the student can view his/her performance evaluation sheet on the chapter exams that he/she already took to internalize which chapter the student got a weak score.
Therefore, the proponent concluded that the tutorial software will be beneficial to the school because it will make things easier for the students and for the teachers as well.
