dc.description.abstract | This is a descriptive study on a Unified University Church and Chaplains’ Office and its Effects on the Campus Ministry of Central Philippine University as Perceived by the Christian Life Committee of S.Y. 2012-2013 that used a one shot survey. The respondents of the study were twenty three (23) members of the Central Philippine University Christian Life Committee, including the University Church pastors and the University Chaplains. Data were collected using researcher-made questionnaires, which were personally handed to the respondents to fill out in order to get the desired outcome from the study. This study aims to determine a Unified University Church and Chaplains’ Office and its Effects on the Campus Ministry of Central Philippine University as Perceived by the Christian Life Committee of S.Y. 2012-2013. Specifically, it aims to: 1. identify the perceptions of the Christian Life Committee on the ultimate goal of the Campus Ministry. 2. understand the perceptions of the Christian Life Committee about unifying the University Church and Chaplains’ Office. 3. enumerate the advantages and disadvantages of unifying the University Church and Chaplains’ office. 4. determine the perceptions of the Christian Life Committee about the possible effects on the Campus Ministry of Central Philippine University if the University church and Chaplains’ Office were unified. The actual results and findings of the study indicated that the ultimate goal of the Campus Ministry of Central Philippine University is to introduce Jesus Christ to students as their personal Lord and Savior. The results showed that majority of the Christian Life Committee was in favor of unifying the University Church and Chaplains’ Office. Advantages and disadvantages of a unified University Church and Chaplains’ Office have been considered and the results revealed that the advantages outweighed the disadvantages. The study showed that a Unified University Church and Chaplains’ Office is favorable to create a great impact in the lives of the students, faculty and staff and the CPU community through the Campus Ministry. | en_US |
