West Visayan Academy enrollment system with classroom management

Abstract

The enrollment process of West Visayan Academy is operated manually which takes a lot of time to complete. The student fills out the enrollment data form and it serves as their registration form. After filling the enrollment data form, the students pass their enrollment data form in each department as the record of the school for the current school year. The proposed enrollment system will record all the data gathered during the enrollment such as the student’s personal data, year level, section, subjects taken with corresponding schedules, and the account record of each student. The processes included in the system are the registration wherein the enrolee’s data will be encoded in the system. The new students will fill out the enrollment data form of the school before encoding the data in the enrollment system. However, the old students can use their school identification card to enroll. Concepts of Relational Database Management System, Data security, Star Topology, client-server software architecture model are applied in the development system. The enrolment system New Lucena Polytechnic College, Samar State University, Western Visayas College of Science and Technology, and De Paul College are used as the related literature for this study. The group followed the steps in the Rapid Application Development model of System Development Life Cycle in conducting the study. Through this study, the enrollment process of West Visayan Academy will be much faster. Efficient and accurate retrieval of information can now be implemented through the proposed system. Connection between departments is also established for easier transferring of files. All the records will be stored and secured in the database. Backups of file can be easily be made through the backup function of the database.
