dc.description.abstract | The study was designed to develop a Fire Protection Certification System for the Bureau of Fire Protection located of Iloilo City. It focuses on the following objectives: To develop a databank that would store, manage and secure the records. To develop a search module that would minimize time in searching and retrieving FSIC record: To develop a module for application and renewal of FSIC; To develop a module that would monitor the expiration dates of each grace periods given to the applicants/establishments subject for re-evaluation; To develop a mobile web application that would save the inspection results directly to the database; To develop a module that would Reports & Fire Safety Inspection Certificate. The methodology used for the development of the system was the Iterative Fife Cycle Model which has the following phases: the Requirements Phase, Design, Implementation and Test, and Review Phase. The results showed that the proposed Fire Protection Certification System would greatly benefit the Bureau of Fire Protection of Iloilo City. The records would be kept in the database so physical damage to it is impossible and retrieval is easy and fast. The system is also capable of monitoring the expiration dates of grace periods issued by the BFP. It has the capability of creating monthly reports without having to browse all the records manually. The inspection checklist form of an establishment can be recorded in the database not through manual encoding but through a mobile web application that saves the inspection results directly to the database which can save time and effort. It can also provide printed notification letters, reports and certificates. | en_US |
