This descriptive-correlational study was conducted to determine the satisfaction of students with Iloilo State College of Fisheries library resources, services and physical set-up and facilities in relation to their attitude towards library resources and services.
The respondents of the study were 303 undergraduate students from the four departments/ college of Iloilo State College of Fisheries. Who were selected using stratified random sampling techniques. The sample was proportionately distributed and drawn from the department/colleges included in this study.
The result of the study revealed that there were three times as many students showing positive attitude towards library resources than those with ambivalent or negative attitude. A big majority of the student also had a positive attitude towards library services. Findings further show that the satisfaction levels of the respondents with library print resources was just fair. They were also fairly satisfied with the print resources’ adequacy, relevance, accessibility, recency and quality. For non-print resources. On the other hand, the majority of the students were satisfied to very satisfied with the library services. Moreover, majority of the respondents were satisfied with the library physical set-up and facilities.
As to the relationship between attitudes towards library resources and user’s satisfaction with library resources, the study revealed that there is no significant relationship between users’ attitude toward library resources and their satisfaction with library resources. Similarly there is no significant relationship between satisfaction with library services and their attitude toward library services.
No significant relationship was also found between attitude toward library resources and satisfaction with library physical set-up and facilities. Furthermore no significant relationship was also found between attitude towards library services and satisfaction with library physical set-up and facilities.
