Abstract
Many institutions today adopt innovative technologies promoting better monitoring strategies and long term security. One of them is the implementation of RFID technology. The proposed E-Library Monitoring System primarily takes over manual management and circulation of the books of a common school library. The system upholds security and monitoring solutions by using an RFID technology which is also being used by successful institutions for a reliable monitoring and security benchmark of their properties.

The system can secure and properly monitor the library of thesis materials at CPU’s College of Computer Studies. The main feature includes a swipe lock entrance that limits access to the library area through the users’ valid ID. A user registration process has to be done prior to access of library materials.

Thesis documents covered by the system are attached with radio frequency tag that contains object’s information to be transmitted. Book borrowing and returning are handled by the RFID device.

The Thesis instructor can monitor the status of the library providing him easy generation of specific data reports. The instructor can view all recorded data such as logs transaction, registered students or thesis availability in the library.
