Computerization plan of Central Philippine University
摘要
The plan is divided into four main components namely: (1) the Student Enrolment and Information System, (2) Accounting and Payroll System, (3) Operations Information System, and (4) Library System. These systems will computerize the operations of registrar office, academic units, schedule coordinator's office, business office, the library, personnel, planning and functions under the office of the Vice-president for Operations.
The development of all systems is 54 months (4 1/2 years), broken by components as follows: Student Enrolment and Information System, 12 months; Accounting and Payroll System, 18 months; Operations Information System, 6 months; and Library System, 18 months. A campuswide network cabling will be installed to connect major offices and units to the server of the local area network (LAN). The Management Information System (MIS) Development Team will under take all system development and initial implementation. The estimated cost of equipment and system development is 3,372,855 pesos. This figure is based on the exchange rate of P 36 = 1 US$.
The plan will be implemented in stages to spread over several years the total cost. The stages of implementation follow the numerical sequence of systems numbered above. The first system to be implemented in Stage 1 is the on-line enrolment.
The MIS Unit will be created to oversee the implementation of this plan. The unit will have its office at the administration building.
