Specifically, it aims to raise awareness and implementation of RA 9710 and assess the impact of gender mainstreaming as a strategy in implementing MCW (RA 9710) on the situation of women among national government agencies (NGAs) and local government units (LGUs). This study uses the qualitative and content analysis approach in trying to determine the extent of Gender Mainstreaming to government agencies and local government units based on the Magna Carta of Women. It looked into studies to show whether the law is effectively implemented by its duty bearers. The enactment of RA 9710 otherwise known as the Magna Carta of Women is a comprehensive women’s right that will give more familiarity to the Philippines and it will seek to eliminate discrimination against women by recognizing, protecting, fulfilling and promoting the rights of Filipino women especially those in marginalized sectors.
