Abstract
Time is an essential resource in professions with high workload such as nursing. It is important that nurses use this resource effectively in order to deliver expected outcomes. This study aimed to explore the relationship between time management and performance among nurses in a private hospital in Iloilo City. In this study, descriptive correlational design was utilized. The respondents of the study were identified using stratified random sampling The respondents comprised of the 86 nurses in a private hospital in Iloilo City. Their level of time management were assessed using the Nursing Time Management Scale (Zyoud, 2023) while the level of performance were assessed using Work Performance Questionnaire (Koopmans et al., 2014). Results revealed that nurses have moderate level of time management (3.89) and average performance (3.96). It was found that there is a direct, strong relationship (ρ = 0.526, p= 0.000) between the nurses’ level of time management and their level of performance. Therefore, it is concluded that enhancing the nurses’ time management skills can also enhance their work performance.
