Abstract
This project study presents the proposed two-storey resort hotel in Northern Iloilo Polytechnic State College - Concepcion Campus to deal with problems concerning the lack of an additional/major income-generating project and give solutions relating to the closure of the Bachelor of Science in Hotel and Restaurant Management degree program in the institution. The designed structure has ten rooms, a workable kitchen and dining area along with other facilities. For the green building, LED lights, natural lighting by using glass windows and doors, and natural air ventilation strategy were considered. The study includes the architectural plans, structural, electrical, and plumbing designs and specifications; cost estimates; construction project schedule. The National Structural Code of the Philippines (NSCP) 2015, Ultimate Strength Design (USD), and joint methods were utilized as the basis for the structural design and analysis in the structural plan. AutoCAD, Structural Analysis Program 2000 (SAP2000), Revit, Civil 3D, and Microsoft Excel were the programs used as per the calculations and design. The project is projected to take 390 days to complete. It has a total floor area of 583.004 sqm with an estimated cost of P17,313,834.14 which the Resource Generation Office will issue since NIPSC is a government-funded institution. It is recommended to incorporate other green building technologies such as solar panels into the design as it reduces electricity bills and has low maintenance costs.
