| dc.description.abstract | A tourism building is an integral part of every locality, especially in progressing municipalities like Pototan. In essence, a tourism building maximizes economic growth, which raises revenue and promotes the development of local tourism and culture. The proposed two-story tourism building at Corner T. Magbanua Street and Solinap Street in Pototan, Iloilo addresses the main issues identified in the Municipality of Pototan on the lack of sufficient spaces for office, tourist reception, cultural exhibits, and small gatherings, as well as parking space. This study includes architectural, structural, electrical, and plumbing designs in compliance with the standard professional codes applicable, incorporating various green construction technologies, such as solar panels, rainwater harvesting system, and daylighting system. Also, it includes general construction specifications, detailed cost estimates, and construction work. Each level of the proposed structure has a floor area of 114 square meters. The project is expected to incur an estimated cost of PHP 6,059,294.81, which will be funded by the Municipality of Pototan, and will take approximately 150 days to complete. Once the facility becomes fully operational, it is recommended to install safety and security equipment such as fences, closed-circuit television cameras (CCTVs), and other essential security measures. | en_US |
