Abstract
A person's growth and development is determined by genetic and circumstantial factors. There is a sense in which circumstantial factors make greater influence in the process. From 50 years ago onward, a family's function has weakened in Korean society as many of its roles came to be taken on by professional social groups. Childbirth takes place in hospital, education is performed in school, and faith training is done in church. Our home is not necessarily the only place for eating and sleeping.

Husband and wife seek to satisfy the desire of self-expression by means of sexual contact and intimate conversation. They also pursue a meaningful life by bearing children. When this normal function of family is out of track, it is usually called a dysfunctional family. Our contemporary family has been suffering from alcohol addiction, misguided religion, gambling, work addiction and so on. Children who grow up in the dysfunctional family tend to form another dysfunctional family with perverted value views and deformed personality. They rarely get along with others in personal relationship, hurting themselves as well as others.

I am interested in healing that kind of people with a full sympathy towards them. This motivated me to deal with the current topic in this study.

In the Introduction, I will present the significance and purpose of this study. In Chapter 1, I will make some theoretical investigation on the basic concepts of family from biblical perspective. In this chapter, I will pay particular attention to the social changes of family in contemporary society.

In Chapter 2, I will touch on the major differences between normal family and dysfunctional family.

In Chapter 3, I will direct my attention to the socio-psychological aspects of those who have grown in dysfunctional family, dealing also with the practical difficulties in their faith life.

In Chapter 4, I will propose a series of seminar program in terms of methodological consideration.

In conclusion, I will summarize my thesis with emphasis on the necessity of this kind of intervention which involves setting policies and designing healing programs
