The insufficiency of burial spaces has become a pressing concern in both the Roman Catholic Cemetery and the Cabatuan Memorial Park in Cabatuan, Iloilo. This study aims to address this challenge by proposing a design of a three-storey columbarium. The main objective of this study is to design a columbarium that will be a sustainable solution to the scarcity of burial spaces while also integrating additional facilities to serve the community's diverse needs. With a total capacity of 1840 niches spread across five layers, the columbarium will offer a dignified and lasting resting place for the departed loved ones of the community. The project includes a chapel within the premises to cater to religious ceremonies, prayer services, and mourning activities, fostering a serene environment for spiritual solace and remembrance. This chapel will serve as a focal point for communal gatherings, offering solace and support during times of grief. Additionally, the ground floor of the columbarium project will feature a spacious area that the Local Government Unit (LGU) can utilize as an additional function room. In alignment with principles of inclusivity and accessibility, the project design integrates separate comfort rooms for males, females, and persons with disabilities (PWDs) on the ground floor, while common comfort rooms are provided on the second and third floors. This thoughtful provision ensures that all individuals can access the facilities comfortably, regardless of their background or abilities. Such considerations enhance the overall experience for visitors, ensuring that necessary amenities are readily available throughout the columbarium premises.en_US
