The ever-changing curriculum of nursing education in the Philippines has aimed to achieve a system of quality to produce effective and competitive nurses. For that reason, examination and exploration of teacher’s performance has remained complicated to evaluate. Aklan has produced graduates armed with knowledge and skills for them to pass their examinations, even topping in one of the recent board exams, and work competently in their chosen field. But, is the college’s success due to the quality of its enrolled students, or is it because of the quality of its faculty, the clinical instructors or preceptors and the BSN curriculum they follow? The aim of this study was to find out the relationship of Social Intelligence Quotient and Teaching Performance among Nurse Educators in Aklan using a quantitative-descriptive-correlational design. Subsequent to this, the level of social intelligence quotient and the level of teaching performance was investigated. The study utilized the Tromso Social Intelligence Scale (TSIS) and the teacher-rating scale of each institution as the data collection tools. In this study, it was found out that the nurse educators had an average social intelligence and an outstanding teaching performance. Furthermore, this study found out that there is no relationship between social intelligence quotient and teaching performance among nurse educators in Aklan. It is recommended that conducting trainings and staff development may help encourage nurse educators to keep on striving to maintain a conducive student-learning milieu for better teaching performance.en_US
