Abstract
The governance of a municipality covers planning and provisions of facilities needed to deliver efficient government services and to grow the economy. Barotac Nuevo, a 2nd class municipality, is known for a lot of products such as rice, sugar cane, spinach and some marine products like tilapia, and milk-fish. It is also known as the Football Capital of the Philippines. The proposed mixed-use building is composed of the Post Office, BIR, COMELEC, SSS, DSWD, and the Department of Agriculture on the upper two floors for relevant government transactions and commercial spaces on the ground level. This project study includes structural, architectural, mechanical, plumbing, and electrical plans made in accordance with the various codes or standards of practice. The study also consists of Bill of Quantities (BOQs), cost estimation, construction schedule and specifications. Also, special features are incorporated in the design including the adaptation of solar panels for 3rd floor only and large windows for natural lighting and ventilation. Th e proposed structure, with a floor area of 1,145 m2, has an estimated cost of about 40 million pesos which will be funded by the local government unit of Barotac Nuevo. The construction of a separate elevated water tank for the sanitary system is highly recommended.
