This study investigated certain demographic features and the level of attitudes towards learning English as a second language of 100 Grade 12 students of Alimodian National Comprehensive High School during school year 2018-2019 using one-shot survey questionnaire. Results of the study showed that majority of the respondents were females, and from the rural areas, Kinaray-a is the most used language, and with low (25,000- below) family monthly income. In terms of their level of attitude towards learning English as a second language, it was found that that the respondents’ level of attitude was more likely positive rather than negative. Respondents, in totality, strongly agreed to the following statements: (1) Studying English is important because I need it in my future career, (2) Studying English is important because it will help me get a good job, (3) Mastering English language is an important goal in life, (4) I am interested in Studying English, and (5) Studying English helps me to have good relationship with others. Accordingly, out of the 15 statements in the researcher-made instrument, most of them strongly disagreed on the following statements (1) Learning English is a waste of time, and (2) English language is difficult and complicated to learn.
