Almost all pawnshops are still using manual method in computing, recording and monitoring transactions. Although this method is efficient, there are some problems encountered by pawnshop business. Some are the unsystematic filing of records and incorrect computation of the item. The group conducted an interview on several pawnshop systems to design a computerized one that would replace the manual method. It is intended for the pawnshop’s employees when dealing with customer and transactions. The study aimed to design a system that can manage and retrieve data easily by providing a real time inventory, which automatically updates the record of every transaction and also to provide correct computation for the item being pawned. The study was done using the phases of pure waterfall method. The development tool or application software used in developing the system was Microsoft Visual Basic.Net and SQL server was used for constructing the database. With the generic system, management will have the freedom to specialize the rates, interest, and formulas exclusively for their company. Through the computerization, it will benefit the customer, management and personnel.en_US
