dc.description.abstract | Enhancing the learning development of their child is one of the concerns of the parents. They are ready to spend their money to have a better and efficient guide for this. Encyclopedias, Almanacs, Dictionaries, and other books are available in the market. Interactive magazines and books such as coloring books, drawing books and game could help a lot in catching the attention of the child to develop their skills and talents in studying their lesson. Paper and pencil together with blackboard and chalk is basically used to facilitate. Visual aids are also provided through the use of manila papers and film showings. The Computerized Tutorial System in Science for Elementary Level is very catching to the eyes of the pupils because of its colorful animated picture and/or graphics. This will serve as an aid for teaching those children who are always bored. In this way they will enjoy studying the computerized tutorial system because of its capturing images. What is good about this system is that it they would be able to test the capabilities and knowledge learned by the student at the end of each lesson. The lessons to be taken by the pupil will depend on his grade level. The capacity to answer the test questions will not only depend on the knowledge learned, but also on how many questions they will answer correctly. This will allow the pupil to repeat the topic lesson if they do not understand the topic discussed. This is very significant to those who arc considered to be slow learners. The teachers will easily get the attention of their pupils by using this system and they will get a positive response from their pupils. By means of computers and the guidance of teachers, there will be a good combination. If the teacher and the computer will work together, management of pupils will be easy and the pupils will acquire greater knowledge in their subject matter in less time. | en_US |
