Integrated animal hospital information system
Abstract
Much has been said about the impacts obtained from technological advancements and information technology as it is applied to modem day businesses, but in reality, only few have capabilities to acquire such enhancements.
In response to that, the Integrated Animal Hospital Information System was developed as Iloilo City’s breakthrough computerized information system for animal hospitals specifically for the Rebadulla Animal Hospital.
This system comprises of modules such as Patient’s Information, Cage Management, Appointment Organizer, Point of Sale with Cash Register and Inventory Management. The management can also generate reports for monitoring purposes. There is a system security and a back-up procedure to ensure that the records and the system itself are well protected and sustained.
Since this system is developed according to the needs of the Rebadulla Animal Hospital, it can provide solutions to the problems which the management usually encounters in their present system. The developers have also incorporated the barcode technology to further enhance the capabilities of the system.
Through this breakthrough system, the developers hope that they have somehow contributed to the advancements in today’s information technology thus, serving as a model system for future related studies and also for the use of other animal hospitals as well.
