Decision support system for A.G. Lending Business

Abstract

A.G Lending Business is one of the biggest guarantors for Robinsons’ Gift cheque and SM credit cards in Iloilo. Currently, A.G. Lending Business is operated manually. Calculations of interest, recording of payments and releasing of statements of accounts are hand written. This study was developed to provide a Decision Support System for A.G Lending Business. A system that can register clients for credit cards and gift cheques, calculate interests, record advanced payments and over dues, rate clients, and forecasts gift cheque sales. The methodology used in the system is the Iterative Model. It has the following phases: The Planning, Requirements, Design, Implementation, Testing, Review, and Deployment Phase. The computations of the interests were accurately distributed for specified billing period. Generation of reports for the summary of overdue balances, advanced payments, collectibles and payments was fully functional.

Assessment of the client for their credibility and reliability was useful in suggesting top clients, and the sales of Robinson’s gift checks for the next succeeding months were also forecasted.
