dc.description.abstract | The proponent conducted a study to assess the needs of the Josmef Pharmacy. The problems encountered were: no proper monitoring of products, the branch checking the availability of stocks, computing of sales and inventory reports, manual tracking of accounts receivable and payables and difficulty in monitoring all transactions. The general objective of the study is to develop a Management Information System for Josmef Pharmacy and the Mandurriao branch it covers, as well as training of personnel who will use the system. The System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) used for the system’s methodology is the V-Model. The V-model is a software development process which can be presumed to be the extension of the waterfall model. The three major phases of the V-model are: Verification Phase, Coding and Validation Phase. The proponent selected the Josmef Pharmacy for a study is that the pharmacy plays a vital role in our society that is in need of efficient and fast software. This will help the pharmacy manage its medicines, medical supplies and medical equipments properly without the fear of lost, overlooked items, overstocking or under stocking, wrong report sales and many more. The system is designed accordingly to perform efficiently and above satisfactory to the design purpose. The system design is subjected to its scopes and limitations included herein. | en_US |
