Central Philippine University is a non-stock, non-profit Christian Institution of higher learning. The Alumni Association of the University was institutionalized more than seventy five years ago. The CPU Alumni Association is the one responsible for keeping track of the records of the alumni and organizing annual homecomings and other related projects of the association. The Placement office is responsible for helping Centralian graduates find jobs. Currently these offices encounter a few problems: The distribution of news and updates is costly. The interaction between members is limited. There is inefficiency in updating of records. A number of Centralians are not aware of the job opportunities posted within the campus. There are very few partner employers. Inefficient posting of new job openings. In order to satisfy them the two offices the website aims: To disseminate news and updates at a lower cost. To serve as a medium of interaction between alumni members and officers. To provide a website where members can easily update their profile. To maximize the means of job dissemination among Centralians. To allow industry partners to register online. Efficient posting of new job openings. The study is web-based. Centralians are able to receive message updates. Members can view news and updates online, thus alumni are being kept up to date regarding their alma mater or the association as a whole. With the website, the Placement Office would be able to increase their pool of applicants. Hence, business establishments will be able to employ skilled individuals from the university. The proponents used the Rapid Application Development (RAD) model to speed up the progress and development of the system. Also, this technique will reduce the development time and cost. RAD model consists of four phases: Requirements Planning, User Design, Construction and Cutover. The group concluded that all the objectives were met with the development of online job portal and social networking site. The system is capable of handling its functionalities. Further enhancement with the website can be done to optimize its functionalities. These enhancements are chat, text alerts, email alerts and online payment.en_US
