dc.description.abstract | The beneficiary of the system developed is the Ramon D. Duremdes District Hospital which mainly aims to develop a Management Information System that will assist and simplify the daily tasks of the hospital employees. The system contains the following features: the patient records module, which is used to record the patients’ personal information and history. The patient monitoring module, that allows the hospital staff to keep track of the quantity and location of admitted and discharged patients. The scheduling module, which allows hospital employees to be updated on their shifting schedules for the week or month, and lastly, the billing and invoice module which enables the accounting department to summarize the patient’s total charges based on the services availed. The methodology used for the development of the system is the Agile Development Model, which consists of the following phases: the Requirements Phase, Planning Phase, Designing Phase, Development Phase, Release Phase and finally the Track and Monitor Phase. The Ramon D. Duremdes Hospital Management Information System will replace and enhance the current manual processing method that the hospital uses. The system will efficiently collect and store data into a centralized database storage that hospital employees will be able to search through, thus resulting in a faster and easier retrieval of data. The system will lessen the amount of human errors and will help the hospital operate in a more efficient manner. | en_US |
