| dc.description.abstract | This Special Problem Report dealt with the proposed backbone design and fiber optic installation for the local area network (LAN) of Central Philippine University. Progressing from the current use of copper wire to the fiber optic cable will enhance the quality of service of the institution’s information network by increasing the rate of transmission of data, decreasing the effects of interference, decreasing attenuation or transmission loss, and increasing the capacity of the network channel. | en_US |
