Abstract
Yamaha School of Music is currently using the manual enrolment process in dealing with their enrollment transactions which takes a long time to process. The institution only uses a class card in storing student and teacher’s personal information. Through this traditional way of enrolling students, the administrator as well as the student is having a hard time during enrollment period.
An enrolment system is designed to handle the entire enrolment process of the school. The functions of the system includes registration of new enrollees, automatic generation of student and teacher’s schedule, printing of registration form, reports and receipts. Payment transaction are also handled by the system. Another feature of the system is the SMS and Email which will be used to disseminate notification promote events to minimize advertising cost.
The enrolment systems of Solomon Integrated School de Iloilo, Queen of Peace School, Iloilo National High School, Andulauan National High School, and SMCM are used as the related studies for this proposed system. The group followed the steps in the Agile Methodology in conducting the study.
Through this study, the enrolment process of Yamaha School of Music is much faster, efficient, and accurate retrieval of information can now be implemented through the proposed system. Connection between branches is also established to centralize the information through internet. Backups of files can easily be made through the backup function of the database.
