The present study aimed to determine the management styles of the physical educators and the extent to which the students embrace their folk dance. The respondents of the study were one hundred eighty (180) students enrolled in physical education with descriptive title rhythmic activities with emphasis on Philippine folk dance. Thirty respondents were taken from the six selected universities in Iloilo City. To solicit information, quota/random sampling was employed in administering the test. To elicit information on management styles, a researcher modified checklist was employed and a researcher-made checklist duly validated was used to gather data on students embrace of their folk dance. To analyze the data frequency, mean, standard deviation, chi-square, Pearson-r, and t-test at .05 alpha were used. The result showed that authoritative management style is the most favored management style employed by the physical educators when taken as an entire group and when classified according to sex, religion, and educational background. On the other hand, students highly embrace their folk dance when taken as an entire group and when classified as to sex, religion and educational background. It was further found out that the management style employed by the physical educators has influenced the extent students embrace their folk dance.en_US
