dc.description.abstract | A balanced collection development across the various disciplines should be implemented in the library to meet the perceived needs of all of its clientele. From the clientele's perceptions of the library collections, it will be helpful to provide a basis for the collection development. This study explores clientele's perception of accessibility and adequacy of the library collection at Tainan Theological College and Seminary (TTCS). This is a descriptive correlational study that employed the one-shot survey design using a questionnaire checklist to gather the data. The respondents of the study were 107 among 146 of the total population of the students and faculty members of TTCS. The findings revealed that the majority of the respondents comprise the students who were 20-34 years old, female, first year level, pursuing Master’s degree and from the Department of Theology. A greater proportion of the respondents claimed the library collection to have “High Accessibility”, and the majority of the respondents perceived that the library collection is “Fairly Adequate”. Variables such as year level and department are significantly associated to the perceived accessibility of the library collection, while the year level and department are significantly associated to the perceived adequacy of the library collection. | en_US |
