Abstract
This study investigates the awareness on the collection development among faculty members of Kothabyu Theological Seminary library. This study aimed to determine and analyze the awareness, attitude and extent of involvement of faculty members on the library collection development. Furthermore, this study determined the awareness and attitude of the faculty members in the performance of their roles and functions as well as their extent of involvement on the library collection development. This is descriptive study that involved documentary analysis and survey design. The sample population of consisted thirty (30) faculty members were from Kothabyu Theological Seminary. The data were gathered using the researcher- constructed questionnaire. The SPSS for windows version 23 was used in data processing and analysis.
Frequency, distribution and Means were used to describe the respondents’ awareness, attitude and extent of involvement in library collection development.
The study found out that faculty members were aware and have positive attitude towards on library collection development of the Kothabyu Theological Seminary. I also found that the faculty members have moderate involvement in the collection development of the library at Kothabyu Theological Seminary.
