dc.description.abstractThe study was conducted to determine the perception of selected law students of Central Philippine University on the imposition of educational qualification on elective officials as a requirement for elective office. The independent variables in this study were gender, age, and year level of law students of Central Philippine University. The method of research that was used in this study is descriptive method by conducting a survey. The respondents in this research were 50 randomly selected law students of Central Philippine University which were classified into categories of gender, age, and year level. To gather the needed data in this study, validated questionnaire-checklist were personally distributed to the respondents. The data gathered were analyzed using frequency, percentage, mean and chi square test. The random sampling technique was used in this study as the sampling procedure. To score the responses, each item was given a weight and corresponding description. Findings of the study would show that when the respondents were classified as to gender, majority of the male and female respondents were in favor on the imposition of educational qualification on elective officials as a requirement for elective office. When classified according to age, majority of the respondents were in favor on the imposition of educational qualification on elective officials as a requirement for elective office. When classified according to year level, majority of the respondents were in favor on the imposition of educational qualification on elective officials as a requirement for elective office. There was no significant difference in the perception of the respondents on the imposition of educational qualification on elective officials as a requirement for elective office when the respondents were classified according to sex, age, and year level.en_US
