Abstract
This research study aimed to analyze the effectiveness of Executive Order No. 26, a legislation prohibiting public smoking in the Philippines. This study was conducted during academic year 2018 to 2019 at Central Philippine University. The opinions and answers sought from several books, internet and health perspectives. These perceived the strengths and weaknesses of the legislation. The health experts presented the evidences of the possible outcome of what it can achieve when this legislation is regulated throughout the country for health and wellness. On the contrary, business industries provided their insights the effects of banning and prohibiting smoking consequently how it can damage and to what extent it can hurt their profit daily.
The study revealed that a lot of countries joined and started prohibiting and banning public smoking and now the Philippines has implemented this law after seeing the advantages and benefits of this legislation and therefore this feasibility on the enacting of law prohibiting public smoking is much recommended.
