dc.description.abstract | This study aims to determine the level of knowledge, whether there is significant difference between educational attainment and level of knowledge, whether there is significant difference between length of experience and level of knowledge, on the legal implications of nursing negligence among selected staff nurses in Iloilo City. This study utilized the descriptive-correlational research approach. The study population was determined using the purposive sampling method. The population was composed of eighteen (18) selected full-time registered staff nurses employed in hospitals in Iloilo City involved in direct patient care. The tool used was a questionnaire consisting of personal data questions and twenty (20) true/false test. A one-shot survey design specifically the post- test- only design was utilized in the study. The data was analyzed using one-way Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) at 0.05 alpha level of significance. The results of the study showed respondents have an average to high level of knowledge on the legal implications of nursing negligence. A majority of the selected nurses has masteral units in Nursing and has clinical experiences as staff nurse in a hospital from 1 year to 5 years. The results further revealed that there was no significant difference between educational attainment and level of knowledge. However, findings showed that there exists a significant difference between length of experience and level of knowledge on the legal implications of nursing negligence among selected nurses in Iloilo City. | en_US |
