This study was conducted to determine the nurses’ knowledge, practices, and work efficiency in the use of Electronic Health Record (EHR) and System, Applications and Data Processing (SAP) in a Private Hospital, Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. Specifically, it described the personal characteristics of staff nurses in terms of age, sex, civil status, and nationality, their knowledge, practices, and work efficiency on the use of HER. The 173 respondents were taken through random and stratified sampling from different nursing departments of the hospital. The one-shot survey design was adopted and the descriptive relational method was applied. Data gathered were obtained from a self-administered questionnaire and analyzed using frequency count, percentage, mean and median, Z test, Anova, Post Hoc Test, specifically Tukey, Chi-square, Cramer’s V, and Pearson’s r. The younger the age, the higher is the level of knowledge, practices, and work efficiency of the nurses on the use of EHR and SAP. Single and Filipino nurses are more knowledgeable and have better practices on the use of EHR and SAP. Male and female nurses performed equally well in terms of their knowledge, practices, and work efficiency on the use of EHR and SAP. The higher is the level of knowledge of the nurses on the use of EHR and SAP, the higher also is their level of practice and level of work efficiency. The level of practice on the use of EHR and SAP has a significant relationship with the level of respondents’ work efficiency.en_US
