Abstract
This study aimed to determine the acceptability of Guin-Asyan Dako as a potential tourism destination using a quantitative descriptive research design. The study involved 332 respondents who were voluntarily available during its conduct. The researchers employed a probability, random sampling approach to select these respondents, ensuring a specific number based on the statistician's guidance. The selection criteria included respondents who were both available and willing to participate. For data analysis, the study utilized descriptive statistics, including frequency count, percentage, mean, and p-value. The Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) was used for inferential statistics, with all tests set at a 0.05 level of significance. The results indicated a significant difference in acceptability based on age and sex, specifically in terms of accommodation, accessibility, activities, amenities, and attractions. These findings were crucial in determining the overall assessment level of Guin-Asyan Dako as a tourism destination. The study's comprehensive approach, combining robust sampling techniques and advanced statistical analysis, ensured the reliability and validity of its findings. The significant differences identified across various demographics underscore the importance of considering diverse perspectives in tourism development. This research provides valuable insights for stakeholders aiming to enhance Guin-Asyan Dako’s appeal and underscores the potential of the area to become a notable tourism destination. The methodological rigor and significant results make a strong case for further investment and development in Guin-Asyan Dako, aligning with the goal of promoting sustainable and inclusive tourism.
